Los Angeles—Counterpoint Systems Inc., the leading provider of software solutions for rights management, royalty accounting and product licensing in the media and entertainment industries, has announced its’ hiring of three additional application consultants: Michael Bolkin, Andrew Wang, and Jason Shin.
“We have been consistently adding team members to our staff to keep up with the growing demand for our software,” says Steve Pitts, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Counterpoint. “We feel fortunate to have found individuals with the unique blend of relevant industry and large scale project management experience required to support the needs of our clients.”
Michael Bolkin, who started his career over a decade ago working in customer support for one of Counterpoint’s early competitors (Right Track), has since held senior management positions in the royalties and participations departments at Image Entertainment, Lionsgate, First Look Studios, and Warner Music Group. “Michael adds a deep knowledge of both the music and filmed entertainment industries,” says Jennifer Johnson, Director of Client Services. “His ability to support clients across industries is invaluable.”
Andrew Wang, a senior project and implementation specialist, has managed software projects of scale across major enterprises including Ticketmaster/Live Nation, where he supervised the company’s e-commerce software initiatives. He also served as a senior management consultant at Macrovision Software, where he oversaw the successful implementation of its’ licensing software. “Andrew understands what it takes to implement a large scale system across an enterprise,” Johnson says. “The fact that he has implemented licensing software in those settings makes him that much more valuable to Counterpoint.”
Jason Shin, the latest addition to Counterpoint’s application consulting team, spent the better part of his career at Warner Brothers Entertainment, working as a Senior Analyst in the company’s financial contract reporting and participations group. “Jason understands our clients' business requirements very clearly,” continued Johnson, “his ability to take diverse requirements and translate them into solutions very quickly for our clients has already saved them hours of work.”
