LOS ANGELES — Counterpoint Systems, the leader in software solutions for rights management, royalty accounting and product licensing, has expanded its presence in Los Angeles, where it maintains its U.S. headquarters, moving into larger office space and adding staff. The moves come in response to strong sales from its music, media, and consumer products/brand licensing divisions. The company is currently developing new versions of its rights and royalty software solutions, including a major new release of its Media Maestro package, expected to be available by late spring.
“We had a strong year in 2009 and we expect continued growth in the year ahead,” said Counterpoint Senior Vice President and U.S. General Manager Steve Pitts. “We are very excited about the new version of Media Maestro, which will include new functionality that will provide real value to our clients. We also expect to see continued growth in the consumer products and brand licensing space.”
Counterpoint’s new U.S. headquarters has over 35 percent more usable space than its previous home and features an open floor plan as well as added conference rooms and common space. “The new space, while larger, allows our employees to work together in a single open space to improve collaboration and the sharing of information,” said Pitts.
Staffing has increased by nearly 25 percent in recent months. Chief among the new additions have been Janna Hopak and Nellie Soliman as Application Consultants in the consumer products/brand licensing team. Prior to joining Counterpoint Hopak was a Licensing Product Development Manager at Amscan, Inc. and Soliman was a Senior Consultant at Rotana. Additional new staff has been added in sales, client services and application development.
