Counterpoint Systems at Brand Licensing 2008

20 September 2008

Counterpoint’s Global Sales & Marketing Manager Dan Cox (pictured – he’s the one on the left) and product expert Natalie Mycielski attended Brand Licensing Europe 2008 at London’s Olympia Hall, on October 1-2. As well as meeting with brand owners, agencies and licensees, they attended presentations at the Brand Licensing Academy, including a keynote by Counterpoint client Magnus Scheving, creator and star of LazyTown.

A seminar on “Royalties, Pricing and more Financial Know-how” by PricewaterhouseCoopers’ forensic accounting team, described how 95% of PwC’s royalty examinations revealed misreported royalties, largely due to clerical and accounting errors in manual processes - processes which Counterpoint’s ProFiles rights and royalties management software allows our customers to automate, ensuring timely and accurate royalty reporting and royalty statement auditing. Dan and Natalie had a busy time elsewhere at the event talking with our existing customers about their successes, and with many potential clients about how ProFiles could help their business.

Now in its 10th year, Brand Licensing Europe is widely recognised as Europe’s premier licensing event for the industry, with over 100 companies exhibiting more than 2,500 characters and brands. Counterpoint built on the successes of the International Licensing Show 2008 in New York back in June, by making many more valuable contacts.

We look forward to more of the same next year, and hope to see you there.
