The latest version of our Windows-based music publishing system, Music Maestro 4.5, sees a range of new features and enhancements both to the standard system and the additional modules, as Counterpoint continues its policy of including frequently requested changes from our Music Maestro client base. Income line Management:
Reporting:
Other advances have been made to streamline the user experience, with the system now shipping pre-loaded with useful default data, such as a full list of societies and musical genres, and the inclusion of more information available in inquiries. New and re-released Archive module A new module that revisits old functionality and updates it using a windows explorer style for searching allows the user to access historical data in Music Maestro. Royalty statements can now be reproduced from any previous period and for any client and users can even re-create the electronic royalty transfer file which is particularly useful if the client has lost their original copy. By using the historical data now available, new functionality allows users to analyse their data and produce performance comparison reports. Revenue and Catalog inquiries will display all income received and the royalty inquiry can generates the overall royalties paid to particular clients. Period comparisons can then be run to investigate the variance in income from two separate periods for a particular song. This new module has become a powerful tool for both historical reporting and current analysis and is already proving an extremely popular add-on with existing Music Maestro clients. Registrations Module advances The registrations module continues to grow in functionality and scope with the major new addition being US copyright registrations, ASCAP and BMI. Communication with societies and clients has helped to drive the module from a more user-friendly perspective including the re-organisation of the societies by territory and allowing users to select their most used registration to be used as a default. New Bulk Amendments Module Currently in development for inclusion by the end of 2002 the bulk amendments module will provide huge time-savings for users when modifying clients or interested parties across the entire database or a selected set of songs. Rather than having to amend records one by one users will be able to use advanced filtering criteria to select the relevant records and make an amendment to be applied across all records.
