Counterpoint Systems once again sponsored the Association of American Independent Music (A2IM) cocktail party for its members and other midem 2012 attendees on Sunday, January 25. The party was “just what the doctor ordered,” says Ben Clasper, Vice President at Counterpoint. “Every year we plan a party that’s fun and relaxing for everyone who’s been working all day. This year was no exception!
“We’re especially grateful to Rich Bengloff and Jim Mahoney from A2IM for giving us the opportunity to sponsor the event,” added Counterpoint CEO, Amos Biegun. “We support the important work A2IM does for the independent music sector and appreciate the many benefits A2IM affords our member clients.”
As is the tradition at the Counterpoint A2IM party, a raffle was held and three lucky winners walked away with champagne prizes from the drawing, including Emily McFadden from RockStar Motel, a new innovative fan-incentivized promotional service for artists, Colleen Theis from the Orchard, one of the largest independent music and video distributors in the world, and Denver Thomas from Music2text, a service that gives labels and artists the ability to sell or promote single tracks and ringtones directly to consumers with SMS.
