The Impact Analysis module determines the existence of any potential legal conflicts between one contract and other contracts already in the system. It will verify whether a given set of parameters is available for contracting purposes. You may run an analysis for one specific contract or you may set up your own parameters. The system will look for matches to the information you enter under the Entities, Articles, Channels and Territories categories. A match will expose any areas where there is a potential conflict that would need to be addressed before the contract is finalized. Running an Impact Analysis will catch potential areas of possible litigation. The contract you are checking needs to be completely entered before you run the Impact Analysis on it. Just as it is designed to tell you what elements are currently present on contracts, it can be used to tell you what elements are currently not present on any contracts. This usage effectively produces marketing analysis reports to assist in determining "holes" in your overall licensing operation.
