The Accounts Receivable module is a fully functioning Receivables system that interfaces with the Pelican ProFiles General Ledger so you can run all aspects of your company’s financial and accounting processes through the system. The module uses the same support tables and Address Records as the Accounts Payable module. Invoices are automatically generated from Contracts. Invoices can be configured to book revenue on a Cash Basis or an Accrual Basis. Cash Receipts are entered in the currencies of the associated contracts then are converted by the system to a single base currency with gains or losses automatically applied to the correct account. The Receivables records (monies due) on the contracts are reconciled against the calculated royalties to insure all payments have been received. Links to Accounts Receivable also exist in the Royalty Reporting module to automatically reconcile, via Invoicing, the variances between guaranteed revenue streams and actual revenue streams based on earned royalties.
