The E-Mail Server module works in the background of the Contract Management System (CMS) allowing reminders to be sent by email to appropriate employees about Datebook tasks (the “Datebook” is the system’s Master Calendar), contractual due dates, and specified commitments, as well as late Event Queue (workflow) approvals from the Event Queue module and the Quality Control/Approvals module. Continuous reminders can be sent once the activity is late by whatever period you determine. Reminders can be sent as frequently as every day. Once the activity is marked as completed then the reminders will cease. This module requires the configuration of a workstation set up as a user in CMS and a user in your e-mail system. Once established, this “user” continually polls the system for overdue items then forwards all reminders through your local e-mail. The module is MAPI compliant and will use and MAPI-compliant email software.
