For users of Pelican ProFiles needing to issues physical checks for royalties due, the Check Writing Module allows for customized layout and printing of those checks. The module, in addition to maintaining ProFiles’ accurate payment approval and processing rules, allows for configuration of any format three-part check to be printed on a laser printer. Whether the stub appears at the top or the bottom of the check, whether the check number and company address are pre-printed on the check form, or whether checks have to be printed using a corporate-approved font, the Check Writing Module allows you to specify what prints and how it prints. Also, if you change banks or check form printing companies, a simple modification to your Check Writing configuration is all that is necessary to continue printing checks. No developer intervention is necessary, you are in complete control of those checks.
